Cultivera Vendor Spotlight: No Bad Days Ranch

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on No Bad Days Ranch, one of the latest vendors to launch a live menu in Washington’s Cultivera Marketplace.

Single-Source & Made To Order:
Introducing No Bad Days Ranch

With over 170 licensed cannabis vendors available for Dispensary purchasers in Cultivera Market, our home state of Washington has a thriving Marketplace, seeing more than $50 million in B2B sales every quarter.

In this month’s Cultivera Brand Spotlight, we would like to introduce No Bad Days Ranch.

New to the Cultivera Marketplace, and ready to blossom, this veteran-focused Producer and Processor prioritizes high-quality products and one-on-one customer service.

No Bad Days Ranch (NBD) is a small, family-owned and operated farm in Longbranch, Washington. NBD cultivates their own naturally-grown flower, and uses it to create high-quality extracts, resin, dabs, and cartridges.

"We are a single source company that for now is focused on live resin, cured resin and flavor on tap carts and also dabs."

At NBD, all processing and packaging is done in house. This limits how many different hands each product has to go through before it gets onto a retail shelf. On top of it all, final NBD products are made to order, allowing each batch to be as fresh as possible.

"We do all the processing and packaging in house, so no one else touches the product until your store gets it."

Building A Veteran-Focused Business

No Bad Days Ranch started way back in Washington’s Medical days.

While working with a friend who was a US veteran, owner Marty Emerson discovered how expensive and difficult it could be for veterans to access cannabis as medication.

With experience in organic farming and composting practices, Marty quickly realized he could help.

"Everything just grew from there and before I knew it, I was going to V.F.W.s and teaching veterans how to grow their own medicine, organically and affordably."

When the i502 industry rolled around, Marty’s friends and family all urged him to give it a go, and began building.

In the process, he discovered the perfect name for his new business:

"Everyone has always said it's impossible to have a bad day on the ranch!"

Growing Together, Naturally

To ensure quality, their plants are grown using Synergy compost tea and KNF farming techniques, with no pesticides or harmful practices.

In fact, Marty worked very closely with the folks at Synergy, and the founder of KNF farming, to develop their unique growing system and prodedures. Their carefully crafted methods ensure their results are not only vegan, but also pesticide-, oil-, and salt- free.

No Bad Days Ranch utilizes an organic farming method called K.N.F. or Korean Natural Farming. This involves harvesting and using indigenous microorganisms. These microorganisms contribute to the health of living soil, and therefore produce healthier plants, and mitigate pests.

"K.N.F. almost always produces a higher terpene profile, which in turn will give a much better taste and smell. Almost everything we use for our inputs are recycled from the plants and fruit off our 30 acres."

Using these methods, the soil at No Bad Days Ranch has been ‘living’, unchanged, for the last seven years. And the results have spoken for themselves.

"...not only have we not changed our soil in 7 years, we also have never had a pesticide, nutrient or oil in our facility."

This combination of clean, organic materials and practices allows NBD to produce high-end products available at affordable prices.

As a result, their products, process, and pricepoint, are all points of pride for the NBD team.

Family-Owned, Quality Personal Service

As a small business that is family-owned and operated, the team at No Bad Days Ranch makes it a point to offer direct assistance and support, providing each customer with a personal, friendly experience.

"We are a small family owned and ran farm, so you get the one-on-one relationship with us that is getting increasingly hard to find in this industry."

The No Bad Days brand has been built around their values of supporting veterans with clean, quality cannabis products, as well as promoting education, information, and veteran-assistance.

By teaching their clean growing methods, and instructing folks on how to convert flower to clean R.S.O. they make medicine affordable and accessible.

Over the years, they’ve helped over 1,200 veterans diagnosed with cancer, many of which were able to endure the disease through to a recovery phase.

They also support various veteran-focused charities yearly, based on suggestions from other veterans.

"We started Operation N.B.D around 6 years ago; we take ideas submitted by other veterans then after harvest in October we choose a few of them to donate money and time or both"

Standing Out In The i502 Crowd

Currently, No Bad Days offers two product lines. The first is their original No Bad Days line, which features their signature patriotic, veteran-centric themes and imagery.

The second is Clearly, a line of botanically-flavored products with more nature-centered branding. They brought on the Clearly line when they discovered there was a demand for botanically flavored cartridges. So they combined these with their single-source oils for a signature “Flavor-on-Tap” series.

Although NBD’s product quality has long been praised by customers, their journey hasn’t been easy. As a smaller new vendor, many retail stores were originally hesitant to take a chance on their products.

"It has not been an easy road; we could probably be in a lot more stores if we gave up the symbol and what we stand for. Since that’s not going to happen we just buckle up and continue doing what we do."

On top of this initial challenge, the state’s ever-changing industry has led to an overall fall in prices that has been especially hard for the NBD team to navigate.

To help overcome these challenges, this year NBD launched a live B2B order portal in Washington’s Cultivera Marketplace.

Boosting Visibility & Valuable Connections with Cultivera Market

Cultivera Market is an online B2B marketplace built to connect license cannabis Producers, Processors, and Distributors with Dispensaries in their state, with just a few clicks.

Using Cultivera Market means No Bad Days Ranch has a new way to get their name in front of more retail partners across their state, while making the ordering process simpler for existing purchasers at the same time.

On top of the valuable potential sales benefits of using Cultivera Market, NBD reports having a great onboarding experience.

"Onboarding was awesome, our specialist Sarah has been more than we could have hoped for!"

When we checked in, Marty described his Cultivera Market onboarding experience to be “nothing short of amazing.”

"Everyone has gone above and beyond to make sure we're pointed in the right direction."

By offering their products in Washington’s popular Cultivera Marketplace, NBD aims to boost their brand visibility and connect with more vendors than they’d usually be able to on their own. This allows their team to save both time and money on B2B networking, travel, marketing, and sales efforts.

"We have brought on a couple new stores [to Cultivera Market] and the ones we have seem to be excited about being able to order us on Cultivera."
